HIde Your Kids, Hide Your Wife, HIde Your Husbands Too

Memphis has find a way to do it again! Last week Memphis was announced the 6th most dangerous city by the U.S. News and World News. Do race play a part being the top dangerous cities? When taking a look at the danergous cities which are mostly Urban: St. Louis, Atlanta, Birmingham, AL, Orlando, FL, and Detroit, it would be safe to say sad but true. It really has more to do with culture than anything else.

  1. Oops meant to save not post. I was told never to go to South or North Memphis and I have done just that.Finding the root cause will answer a lot of questions that we may have we are quick to say it's the poverty areas of Memphis but are we contributing to this myth or is it a fact? My grandmother is fearful of Memphis and has never visit me because of what she sees or hear on TV. I have lived in Bartlett for 9 years and within those years my apartment was broken into with me in the bed sleep until the knocking woke me up, my car was stolen 2 weeks after I moved into my brand new house, my copper was cut from my a/c unit some say it was because it was a new subdivision and some say the area is just getting bad. I do not go out often because I am afraid. I was once told that a bullet don't have a name on it which most of the people who actually get shot is innocent bystanders. I do not understand the drive-bys which usually ends up with a child killed what is the purpose of that, to prove what point that you are ruthless and not to mess with you?? The role models that our children have in Memphis is individuals who died from a drug overdose, Triple 6 Mafia, who raps about making and selling drugs and getting high. So when will the madness stop. Like Antoine Dodson from Huntsville, AL said when someone broke into his sister apartment "You better hide your kids, hide wife and your husbands too."
